About Simon
Simon Clarke is an attorney-at-law and former national cyclist whose discipline and resiliencenow shape his commitment to public service. He began cycling at the age of six and went on to proudly represent Barbados at the Central American and Caribbean Games, Pan American Cycling Championships, and Caribbean Cycling Championships between 1998 and 2013, earning multiple national titles and competing on the regional and international stage.
Following his athletic career, Simon pursued legal training at the Barbados Community College, the University of the West Indies, and Hugh Wooding Law School, building a legal practice grounded in strategic problem-solving, clarity, and client-centred advocacy.
Deeply committed to civic engagement, Simon believes accessible justice, transparent governance, and active citizen participation are essential to national progress. He is especially passionate about empowering young people through sport, education, and opportunity, while also advocating for improved infrastructure, reliable public services, and sustainable economic growth in St. Philip North.
