Richard Sealy is a civil engineer and experienced public servant whose career combines technical expertise and senior national leadership. He holds degrees in civil engineering and business administration, grounding his public service in analytical and strategic thinking.

Richard spent nearly two decades working on engineering projects across the Caribbean. Elected to Parliament in 2003, he later served as Minister of Tourism, leading initiatives to strengthen resilience, expand markets, and modernise the sector. His tenure included advancing the Tourism Industry Relief Fund, strengthening digital marketing, expanding diaspora engagement, and initiating Barbados’ first Tourism Master Plan.

He served as President of the Young Democrats, Vice President of the DLP, and Deputy Chairman of Cabinet’s Economic Policy Committee.
