About Dawn-Marie

Dr. Dawn-Marie Armstrong is a sport and exercise psychologist, former national cricketer, and youth development advocate whose work bridges performance, education, and wellbeing.

Educated at the University of the West Indies and universities in the United Kingdom, Dr. Armstrong holds advanced qualifications in sport and exercise psychology.

She is the first Caribbean national to be both British Psychological Society Chartered and Health and Care Professions Council Registered in her field. She has worked in high-performance environments, including elite football and cricket programmes, and has taught at secondary and tertiary levels.

She is the Founder and Principal Psychologist of Afro Sport Psych™, an initiative focused on culturally competent athlete support. A former teacher and consultant, Dr. Armstrong is deeply committed to youth development, resilience, and holistic growth.

She stands ready to serve Barbados with evidence-based leadership, compassion, and a steady focus on wellbeing and opportunity.
